ABS Noise and Fix

This happened to my friend & business partner this morning. He is not a TDR member, but I thought I would post this in case it might help someone. He started the truck (99 model) this morning and the ABS pump was making a horrific noise. When you stepped on the brakes it got a lot worse. I took him to work and while there he found a Dodge Service Mgr on the internet who gave him this fix. Told him to take out the fuse for the ABS, drive it a while, shut it off, replace the fuse and start it back up. Lo and behold, everything was alright after this quick fix. He said this is a recent Dodge TSB. Hope this helps anyone else that might have this problem

Thanks for the tip. I haven't had any problems with my '99 ABS system yet, but will remember what you have posted. Gotta love this forum! Dave
