ABS on a Harley-Davidson???

This past weekend, I was at Chester's Harley-Davidson in Mesa, AZ. & noticed that at least some of their bikes have an optional ABS braking system available.



Anyone have any experience with this option & is it worth it? The option comes with a security system, also.

I can't speak about the Harley ABS, but my dad has it on a BMW I believe it is a RT1200 and he loves it. My parents ride all over the east coast and Canada. He said it save them from a crash when someone switched lanes and cut him off on the interstate in the rain. If he had his old bike he would have locked them up.

I have no experience with it on HD but have on BMW and second hand on Kawasaki. IMO it is well worth the added cost. It is on guard 100% of the time, not like you when you are tired, or distracted, or miss that almost invisable diesel spill on the road at an intersection.

I have ABS on my 2010 Harley FLHX and it is a wonderful option. I highly recommend it.
