Ok two questions for ya guys tonight. I need an honest answer on the ABS sensor how much does it have to do with the speedo I've tried a few other things with attempting to get my speedo fixed such as replacing the speed sensor on the transmission, using electolite on the connections. Dodge admits that the ABS sensor may or may not have anything to do with the speedo on the truck but can't tell me for sure and the part costs 90 bucks so I'm not really too psyched on paying 90 bucks for something that I may not need.

Second question. Part of my tail pipe broke off the other day :( So now I'm looking into getting rid of the muffler and straight piping it. The mechanic that will be performing the work (which will only cost me 75 bucks) I asked him about giving the truck dual exhaust but he says that with the diesel engine and adding dual exhaust will cause too much turbulance in the exhaust system and that the engine will not react well to it. Has anyone in here added a Y pipe to there truck and noticed any problems with it?

Thank for your help guys.

If your talking about the ABS sensor in the rear axle housing. It has nothing to do with the speedo. Mine has no wires coming out of it. All it is doing is plugging the hole in the axle housing.

I don't buy the turbulance idea. As long as the Y is not a restriction, at least 3"ID, it will be fine. I'd rather have 4" all the way back instead of duals. IMO duals belong on a gasser. That is unless you have dual stacks. Oh and don't buy the abs sensor BIG waste of money. Don't trust much what a Dodge dealer says.

Most of them don't even know about TDR. Between my brother and myself, there are ten CTD trucks. The dealer has never solved a single problem for us. Till I found out about TDR, I just lived with the unsolvable problems.

If you want to check for yourself about the ABS, get behind the glove box and just unplug the control module. Nothing happens except the stupid light goes out and the truck won't ever decide to drop the brakes in an emergency. Read the post on ABS and you will see why a good many just do away with it.
