2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission ABS sensor $$$$$$$$$

I am suffering from the ABS light syndrome. I tested it with multimeter and it read 1351 ohms,I know it's supposed to read 1800. But when I called the local dealer he said they didn't have in stock and they wanted $88. 00 for it. On all the other posts I have read about replacing the sensor it is usually around $47. Should I just try a different dealer or has the price gone up?

If you are talking about the sensor on the rear differential, I replaced mine three years ago. My dealer charged about $77 for the part (I replaced it myself)! From what I remember of discussions here there is a wide variation of prices. I'd call around if I had to do it again.

Is there a difference between a 2wd and 4wd ABS sensor? I found an RWABS sensor online but it said 2wd.
