The trucks ABS comes on with heavy braking, when it should not. I have searched and seen that most guys disconnect the ABS and are done with it. I have a new rear wheel speed sensor on the diff, reluctor is in good shape as well. Last night at work, I drove it with a scanner on it and noticed the front left wheel speed sensor cuts to 0 intermitantly, and also does not slow and speed up as fast as the rear and front right. I replaced the sensor, cleand the mounting surface, and spun the hub. The reluctor looks to be ok, no teeth missing or dirt in the hole. After replacing the sensor, it seem to read better, yet still goes to 0 at times for a split second. I have no ABS codes.

Anyone have any idea's?

Thanks,

Eric

How difficult was it to clean the sensor and this "reluctor"? As this is my next project since I've been having similar issues where the ABS activates when it shouldn't altho at slow speeds.

There was nothing on the reluctor, i just checked it to make sure it was intact and not dirty. I used some sand paper to clean where the sensor sits. I have yet to get an ABS code which is weird. These brakes are annoying me.
