MY ABS AND MY BRAKE LIGTH IS ON I WHEN TO A DODGE SHOP AND THEY SAY I LET MY REAR BRACKS LOSE TO LONG AND THE PLUGER CAME OUT TO FORE SO TEHY AJS. THEM AND THE LIGTHS ARE STILL ON CAN ANY ONE HELP ME .

Rear axle speed sensor. Replace it, its on top of Diff housing. Also, your on the wrong forum, try 2nd Generation Ram Forum (NO engine/transmission discussions). you will get more help.

My ABS and brake light came on yesterday morning. I pulled the wheels and checked the linings and pads - all OK, better than 50%. Adjusted rears quite a bit. Brakes work fine. Lights still on, I guess I'll try the rear axle speed sensor. Is it dealer only item? How much?

Auto Parts store should have it, Should be less than $45. 00.

They can also be tripped by a vacuum leak. Try unpluging the vacuum sensor on the drivers side fenderwell and see if the lights go out.

I replaced the sensor on top of the differential and that fixed the problem. I couldn't find it in an auto parts store, got it from the dealer for $40. Thanks again, once more this site has saved me more than annual membership.
