my 97 3500 dually and i were in a recent accident. the front brakes locked up and rear did not. i believe my truck i supposd to have abs. is this normal?
Duellys already have a larger brake cylinder, no need to change it. Mine didn't have a propoertioning valve on the rear axle, so I have no experience there. LikeJMcCoy, I believe the ABS is working as designed unless you have front ABS also.
Most of our trucks are rear ABS only. In theory, that should indicate your rear ABS is working correctly. If you have not done so, I would install the Chevy wheel cylinders and pin up or remove your proportioning valve (of equipped). This will give you more rear bite and save your front brakes. Good luck
