One day about a month ago I noticed a puddle under my truck , I checked it out and was just water . Never paid much attention to it , then I realized the other day , my AC is always on . I put cool air(not ac) on to defrost my window , and it was cold . This is of course without the AC switch on , tried turning it on and off a few times , but nope , still always on .

I never use the AC , well... . I guess I have been since I bought her in feburary .

Anyone know where to start?

If it's on a defrost setting, the A/C compressor runs in order to dehumidify the air before it hits the cold windshield. If it didn't, fogging or icing on the inside of the windshield could result.

The only settings where the A/C compressor doesn't run (other than off) are vent, mixed vent/floor and floor.

But you can have the AC on floor and mixed positions if you go from AC or defrost to those position without going to vent first. Check out your owners manual, I never realized why my compressor was running all the time until I learned that you had to go to the very middle selection to shut it off. At least that is how my 01 is.
