2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission AC disconnect

I just finished doing the ac disconnect on my 96. Aside from breaking two of the plastic tabs on the assembly, luckily opposite corners, I have a couple questions, concerns. It seems that I don't have a high in the AC position or on the left side. I only have three speeds, and on the white side I do have high. Is this normal, or did I goof. Don't want to go back in, but will if I messed up. From what I read, I needed to remove the ouside swiper on the bottom selector. There were two opposite each other 180 degrees and then one just to the left of the bottom. I took out the bottom most fan blade swiper. Wondering if I goofed. Anybody that knows, please fill me in.
