Does the rain water that goes in the windshield cowl come out the Air Conditioning drain on the passenger side firewall or does it come out somewhere else.

Reason I'm asking is the other day I took a hose and sprayed water on the cowl and nothing came out of the AC drain. I've had the truck parked under a tree for a couple of years and I'm wondering if the leaves/debris have plugged things up. I have the Genos cab filter on the vents but the crap stills gets in around the windshield wiper holes.

What's the best way to clean it out?

Don't think the water in the cowling gets into the AC housing, at least not all of it, there is a drain on either side of the cowl I believe. If you have access to an air compressor, hook up a piece of 1/4" tubing to the air line and bend a 90 on the end and just hold it near the drain and give it a blast of air, that worked for me. bg

I don't have my bodywork manual handy but I believe water entering the cowl drains down inside the right fender behind the wheel. The only water that should normally drain from the A/C spout would be condensate.

Thanks, appreciate the info. I feel air blowing out the A/C drain when the A/C is running so it must not be plugged. Glad to know that cowl is draining elsewhere.

Everything I've read so far is correct. Only condensate should be draining from the A/C drain. You can blow compressed air back into the drain if it's truly stopped up, or you can remove the blower motor from above the passenger's floorboard and reach in with your hand and pull out anything you can find/reach.

Leaves at the Blower Motor

I have done this also. Usually there is a flutter noise when the Fan is on high and it has leaves in there.
