Can someone tell me what's wrong with my truck? About 2 months ago my passenger side air didn't seem as cold as the drivers. I finally have it at the dealer and they said something about a screen. I thought the MEGA cabs were the only trucks with this screen? ..... The dealer just kept saying use the rec switch and I kept saying it wasn't like this 3 months ago!

... ... . it's HOT here in Alabama! :-laf

Do a search function. Every summer this has been a HUGE discussion since the 03s came out. Also on DTR forum. Most of the time the differance from right to left is low charge, even a little low.

Would this also be linked to having the whole system "freeze" up and turn warm all together? Mine does the same thing. Drives me nuts! My 95 Lexus has never had a problem.

We used a DIY AC kit on my friend's 03' dual zone yesterday. He was very low on R134 refrigerant. Still needs more R134. The temps are now almost the same.

I had the same issue on my truck. I just had the system checked and it was a pound low. They refilled it and now it blows 40* on the passenger side vents.

For the past two summers I delt with my ac freezing up. This summer the passenger side was blowing warm air and I decided to by a DIY AC recharge kit. It took one can of R134 the passenger side is now blowing cold air again with no more freeze ups.

I have the exact same problem as mathiowetz. I need to go buy a can. I was just about to take it to an A/C shop. This probably just saved me about $298. 73!!! Thanks

Same problem and same solution here. The service manual gives a pressure range for the given condensing temperature. I charged to the upper end of the range. It will freeze you out of the cab now.

Can you give the pressure range? I don't have a service manual. Thanks

This is out of the 04 service manuel,I tried to copy and paste and it streamed lined a mess so I typed the short version deleting the metric which I hope you don't need. Hope this helps,Matt
