2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission ac problem

what would cause the ac compressor to quit own its own at random? If allowed to stay off for a minute it will work for another minute to several days.

Do you have power at the ac compressor clutch when it shuts off by it's self?



My guess would be either the relay going bad or the clutch coil going bad.

I'd start here

Most problems on 134 refrigerant systems stem from a low charge. Just a few ounces may be all it takes. Your lo pressure cutoff switch could be going out also.
