I discharged my A/C while changing my heater core this weekend and I need to re-charge it. I see you can buy both lubricated and non-lubricating refrigerant.

Does anyone know which one to get and if 1 ~500ML size bottle is enough?

Thanks in advance.

When you discharged it you lost some of the oil. I would use at least one can with the oil and the remaining without. It is possible to over oil so be careful. Also insure you vac it down properly prior to servicing. The label on the truck should tell you how much to refill it with. When the correct amount is in the compressor will not cycle on and off and should have 35-40 psi on the low side.

You can't just "recharge it ya know. Like said above The system needs to be drawn to a vacuum first for at least 30min fyi. If you simply dump 134 on top of a static system that now has air and some moisture content intoduced into it you will see poor performance and WILL burn theese frail compressors. Truth be told throw in a new rec/dryer for the extra 38 bucks. Typical UNRECLAIMED discharge will take about 1. 5 Oz of oil. Controlled reclaim should net . 5-. 75 Oz oil needed.
