Friday I took a long trip and the AC worked all day. even when it was 98 out side I still had to turn up the AC a little or it would be to cold.

Saturday I got in and the AC did not work. The blower works fine but no cold air is comming out. I looked in the book and in the fuse bix and can not find any fuse. I think maybe the cluch is out. Any thoughts.

From reading on here the 06 seems to have a bad AC compressor record. Check and see if the compressor is coming on at all, you could be out of refrigerant or the clutch coil could have failed. You will need to connect a gage to see if the refrigerant is still there. I don't know if the 06 has a clutch cycling switch or not, I couldn't see one on mine. The clutch may be cycled by the thermister on the face of the evaporator. There have been reports on here of the elect. plug connection at the clutch causing trouble? Good luck. bg

Thank you for you reply but do you think the AC would just stop completely from one day to the next if the Refrigerant was low?

Kinda unlikely but very possible. A slow leak will somtimes give you some indication things are not right. Something like a hose failure (from rubbing on something) or a bad leak in the evaporator could take it out overnight. Also could be an electrical connection. bg

My 03 had an issue with the high pressure line rubbing on the transmission dipstick and one day rubbed right thru it, and the A/C went from cold to not cold in 1 day. Hope this helps.

Hate to say it but its your compressor clutch. They are not rebuildable on the 06 so that means that you need a new compressor OR there is a transducer that I have heard of that goes out on these things where if replaced (much cheaper to replace than compressor) will solve your issue. Hopefully someone has more info on the transducer?

I have done a couple of searches and found nothing except the compressor with clutch. If there is a NAPA auto parts near you, check them out, if it's available they will be able to get it. bg
