you should be making a 20* split from the return. I keep a gauge in my drivers side register, but I dont know where my return is located. Mine gets quite cold... probably low 40s.

This is a very common complaint with the 06's, especially the Megacabs. You might want to make sure your mix door is functioning properly. They have a tendency to break at the pivot (there is no stop for the door). I had to have mine replaced when it finally fell all the way off and blocked air flow. Haven't used the A/C yet this year, so I hope it will make a difference.

Overall, it seems to me the HVAC on my Mega is very subpar compared to a Chevy Extended cab we have at work. You could toast marshmallows in the winter and make ice in the summer. Just seems to work better.

It depends on ambient temp and humidity. You might be able to get a 40 degree split from ambient to outlet in Reno, but probably not in Gulfport because of the humidity difference.

The service manual gives the following (Readers Digest version)

windows open

1000 rpm

recirc mode

thermometer in center left outlet

let stabilize and read temp

Ambient Outlet

80 45

90 55

100 55

110 64
