Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Ac

My ac works when I turn the switch for the upper dash and it also works when I turn it to the lower section. But when I turn to the center dash section it stay were it was. Any Ideas

Bad dash switch due to oil contamination from the vacuum pump. Check all hoses also. Will probably be soft. If '96 or '97, there is a recall for a check valve at the vacuum pump.
