Hey guys, this isnt really a problem, just a point of curiosity. My rig runs great, but Ive noticed sometimes when Im accelerating heavily, such as stomping in 3rd or 4th gear, I'll hear this "electronic crackle"; at least thats what it sounds like  , coming from the steering column area, or perhaps underneath the dash panel. No electrical problems or performance issues. Seems to do it more when the rig is cold. Any ideas?

Do you have a car alarm? If you do, installers seem to put them around the steering column, the problem is that wires can be pinched and rubbed from peddle movement causing relays to open and close and wires to short. I had this problem and rewired and relocated higher under dash. The short on my system would cycle the grid heater so it was easy to find.

Something to think about, Good luck.
