Been through this 3 times now. 1st lasted 12 years. The next few not more than 15-18 months. None of them even the $600+ sensor from dealership had more than 12 month warranty. Bad sensor, oxidized wiring? I can't believe this thing keeps going out. New wire harness?
Anyone else have problems with this Mercedes sensor?
P2127.

I do not have a diagram for your truck but maybe a grounding issue ?.
I just installed new battery cable kit with new grounds. It solved the low voltage across the air intake heater relay and the truck ran fine for about 10 miles. I fear I'm going to have to limp it home or have it towed. I've been told there is a computer flash for this issue but I've been unable to find much about that.

The ground I speak of is for the apps. some have run it directly to the battery.
Haven't checked that yet. A little more research this morning and I just found a wire harness replacement on Geno's that seems to fix the issue for most.
My APPS is located under the driver's side battery. There could be some corrosion issues, but I don't recall seeing anything unusual last time I replaced the sensor. I am however beginning to suspect there may infact be a wire problem or some corrosion.

I've the WELLS apps from Autozone, works fine because it is a modern contactless design.

And lifetime warranty, if it fails I get new one.

You need the little harness kit that jumps out the vehicle harness and connects the APPS right to the PCM. I did it and never looked back.
it’s been over a year.

They are in both connectors.
Thanks. I was a little confused. I have one arm immobilized right now and I'm sending screenshots to my electrical buddy that helps me. He has a 12V and loves to harrass me, but is always there to help me once we figure out what needs to be done.

Folks with 24 valves usually need friends with 12!
Its all good. I towed his truck to a shop out of town a few months back. I turned him on to duck hunting with a 10ga a few years ago. I'll drop whatever I'm doing to help him anytime he needs it.
Number of valves don't matter as long as there are only 6 cylinders and they're all inline. I like the 225, 232, 258, and 300in³ gasser varieties too.
