I've noticed that my truck responds to about the first half or slightly more of the accelerator pedal travel. There is no change in response after about the halfway point except downshift if you push far enough. This seems to be true regardless of RPM, load or gear.

Is this normal?

I believe that I've lost some performance since the truck was new. Now that it's broken in a bit (12K miles) I was hoping it would get stronger. Just wondering if something's going south and the throttle position / response is an indicator. I've had it to the dealer and they say nothing's wrong. But I suspect that if it makes it in under it's own power, that's always going to be the answer.

Thanks

check...

Have you had your fuel pressure checked? The lift pump could be going south, and you would lose lots of performance.

Check fuel filter too. You can change the filter, and if the truck won't start then your pump is probably shot.

I noticed the greatest power after the 17000 mile mark. Fuel mileage got reall good after that as well.

Hope I could help. :)

Pretty much normal for the drive-by-wire setup.

The loss of power may be you just getting used to it and needing to start BOMBing. It's happening to my truck also.

Used to have a rice rocket two wheeler. By the time I sold it the sensation was like driving a Yugo - even at 140 MPH. Now I just go slow and make alot of noise.

A shame DC has to derate em so bad!

Mine was a pig after the first half of pedal too. The EZ fixed that problem. Highly reccomend a fueling/timing box! This will return your pedal though you wont need it as much.

As for myself the EZ only piqued my curiosity. Now I,m wondering what injectors would do. Beware though, BOMBing is a disease, once it's in you there is no cure:eek:
