I am looking for a muffler with minimal restriction that will not pi$$ the neighbors off. Is there such an animal? I'm throwing this to the bros out there cause I anticipate a variety of opinions. My plan is 230/605 plate and thats about all... heard it before? #ad
Mines a '95 3500 and is a daily driver and tow mule.

Walker 21471, 4inch straight thru design. Quiets it down pretty good. You can reduce it to 3 inch and if you use band clamps instead of the guillotine clamps, you won't put any clamp grooves in the pipe and it will be easy to take apart if you decide to go to 4 inch exhaust, plus won't need to buy another muffler. This is the same muffler Joe D is using for his 500+ hp engine. You can get this muffler from NAPA, same part number. Cost is around $115. 00.

Koa Man, On Walker mufflers, do you know what the difference is between a #21468 and a #21471? I have seen both recommended on the site.

big b is correct. That is reason I recommend the 21471 and using reducers to go to 3 inch. Saves buying another muffler if you decide to go to 4 inch. I am using the 21471.

Hows the sound. Gotta ask cause I leave for work at 4:30 in the morning. As it is I light her off and just let the clutch out at idle till the main street... . what the heck its 1/2 mile of gentle warm up. . plus I don't dump the coffee #ad

Sound is not much louder than stock. Standing by the passenger door between my stack and the engine, the engine itself sounds louder. You can still "hear" the power when you get on it, but it is far, far, far quieter than a straight pipe (like I had before)

I have a 3" flowmaster 3 chamber under mine. It helped power quite a bit and it sounds stock. It has a little more rumble to it at idle but inside the truck or the house you can't tell. You can start to hear it when you lay on the smoke pedal for a couple of gears and the turbo is stroking pretty good. And it does sound modified when pulling a good load. I like it alot
