Accessary Power

I am in need of a switched 12v power source to operate my x monitor gauge. I have tried to find the cigarette lighter wire and can not figure out how to get the center dash apart. I have a 2008 with auto trans. Can anyone come to my rescue?

Believe it or not, it just snaps in. If I remember correctly, I had to use a bit of force to get it to pop out when I did my gauge install.

This is a Larame with dual heat controls. I have tried to pry the dash cover off but it will not move and I do not want to scratch or break it.

Did you remember to remove the screw at the little purse hook on the passenger side?

Mine was a pain, I had to remove the floor mounted console to get to a couple of screws that hold the center dash in. Then you pop it out. The 06-08 are totally different to get the dash apart.

I have removed every screw I could find, even removed the flop down cup holder. The cover will not move and I can not see the lighter wire anywhere. Is there another place where I can find the wire under the dash or in the engine coompartment?
