Well, After having it out with a ahole at the boat ramp yesterday he decided to come back and take it out on my truck.

Looks like some type of acid was pored over one of my tire and wheel and the bed of the truck was keyed.

Little does he know I wrote down his license plate # earlier.

Any one have a way to run a California plate? The damage will all be covered under insurance.

Do you think the acid will effect the tire? Don't want a blow out while towing my trailer.

You have got to be kidding!!!!! I can't believe someone would do that. I am at a loss of words :--) I am so sorry this happened I am glad you got the plate number!!!!!

Cali-600 -- Take the license plate number to the police. They'll look it up & investigate too.

I'm really sorry that happened. What's up with people?

I'd also say your tires may be shot Acid sure as heck isn't going to help rubber hold the road. Quite frankly I'd ask the PD to investigate not just the Acid, but possible other attempted murder charges (making your vehicle unsafe to drive) But thats just me...

I know exactly how you feel, my truck was keyed the other night while we were at the movies. I didn't notice till the next day. My was I p. o. 'd I had a friend of mine wet sand (2000 grit and cutting compound) and buff them out but the one on the front fender is going to need to be fine lined and re-cleared and buffed again since the metallic got knocked down in one tiny spot. Could I live with it? maybe put it still  makes you want to exact a swift revenge. I can't stand other peoples lack of respect for personal property. I just wish make my day laws applied to my truck.

Why do some people have to be such ****ing *******s. If he really had a problem and wasn't such a ***** you guys would have settled it right then and there and been done with it :D

Sorry for the rant :)

Silverram, why did they key your truck?

They keyed my truck for no reason at all. The worse part is I was parked as far away as possible with nobody by me. Probably just kids! I might have wrote it off as an accident but I was in the middle of no where. Just plain sucks.

Sorry to see things like this happen and sorry it happened to you and I'm not saying you are wrong having it out with somebody at the boat ramp. But that is the worst place to do that. They know you are coming back and your truck and trailer sit there all day and is easy pray for them. There's just to many idiots out there that think REVENGE while your not looking is a fun thing to do because they are little chicken **** people with no spine. I'm at the boat launch atleast 100 times a year and anymore when people take two parking spots or park on the ramp and then start getting ready to launch or what-ever stupid things they can do. I just GRIN to my self and wonder HOW IN THE HE!! these people survive in life?

Geezus... . that sucks.

I'd be happy to introduce you to some acquaintenances whose first and last names begin and end in vowels.

To make a long story short.

I headed down to the boat ramp as usual with my superjet jetski on my carry all hitch rack. When I got there I noticed there was line with three guys in frond of me. I thought this was unusual being a weekday so I got out of my truck and noticed a truck in the staging area and a poor guy with a van try to back a little trailer down the ramp. I though this was funny because the guy in the van could not look through the van to back up and the trailer was to small to see out his side mirrors. It took him a while because by the time he saw the trailer in the side mirrors it was already headed east or west.

After the van cleared the three guys in front of me launched. I pulled up to the staging area at noticed that same truck was still sitting there I say when I first pulled up. I pull up along side and noticed no one in the truck. as I started backing down the ramp I waited for the guy launching to pull out. As I was watching him pull out the unoccupied pick caught my eye from the front because he was going to hit my truck with his trailer. I honked and told him to hold up, started down the ramp and launched my boat. I was walking around to pull out I noticed this unoccupied truck has now backed down the ramp and his trailer is 3 feet from the front of my truck. I asked him what the hell, move you truck your blocking the ramp. By this time the next guy staging got out of his truck and yelled at him, "your boat is on the wrong side of the dock and to move your fxxxxxxx truck before I move it". I back up and went around him and parked my truck. I think he had it out for awhile with the guy that was staging because by the time I came back to get on my ski the unoccupied truck was going 1 MPH up the ramp just to **** the guy off staging.

I went for a hour and a half ride and came back, parked the jetski and went to get my truck. As I walk from the boat ramp over the levy I noticed dxxx head walking away from the back of my truck. He ran to his truck and got out of there before I could get my hands on him.

They say the older you get the wiser you get, but this was not the case. This guy had 15-20 years on myself and the other guy that was yelling at him.

Paybacks are a ***** I just need to decided if I will take the legal path or give Vinnie a call. :D

Cali, that stinks! It sounds like you weren't really even involved. Where was he at the beginning of the whole story? I don't think I'd want to leave my truck and boat unattended on the ramp. I'd definately go down to P. D. and see what they can do. Maybe nothing, but wouldn't it be cool if they checked his truck and found some kind of matching corrosive agent!? These are the nutbars that deserve more than they'll ever get.

I can run Cali. plates. Go to Public Data.com you will have to pay for so many searches but it is pretty cheap. Comes in handy every once in a while.

Giving "Vinnie" a call in situations like these is always way more fun !! :-laf

Go to the DMV and tell them you are buying the truck and you need his info. It will cost you about 15 bucks and they give you a printout. Come up with an excuse just incase... for example the title was lost and yada yada yada

Since you did not see him do anything wrong other than act like a jack***, you will not get much help from the police. You have no proof that the fellow did the damage.
