My 13 year old grandson has been asking me to take him to see this movie for quite some time, so we went this afternoon. I don’t ever recall seeing a film that left me [so] quiet inside. At its finish, the audience slowly filed out, some rubbing their eyes, others with just a somber look on their face. It’s good to reflect and honor the bravery and sacrifice that so often goes unnoticed. I’m hoping to go to DC this summer and hopefully find a name on the Vietnam Memorial Wall of an F-4 RIO... It’s time.

I agree with you about our service members sacrificing alot. I can read in between the lines in your post that you have served too, thanks. I too have lost several friends when we were in conflict with Sotheast Asia. I have visited their memorial and stats on the Viet Nam memorial website. My wife and I did travel back to Virginia towing our fiver wanted to go to the memorial but the traffic was way beyond what I wanted to deal with. If and when I do get back there I will take a bus from my RV camp ground.

Any person who is in the armed forces for their country is writing Uncle Sam a blank check to use you as they see fit. That is just part of the deal.
