Actual Post Flash Mileage

I thought people may be interested in my mileage before and after getting the MPG Flash (TSB 18-037-04)

I had the flash done on 09/30/04 with 4333 miles on the clock and total fuel usage at 301. 154 gallons giving an overall average of 14. 39 MPG

Since the flash I have driven an additional 2098 miles and used 120. 663 gallons of fuel giving an average of 17. 39 MPG

The before and after miles are about evenly split between city and highway so it looks like I picked up a solid 3 MPG, some of the difference may be due to the engine breaking in however the per tank MPG did not show a upward trend before the flash.

So far I am very happy with this truck!

Great way to see the real story! I was getting tired of all the guys claiming to get 700 to 800 miles out of a tank and getting stats of 18 mpg city and 24 highway. That was just way out of line. I just figure if they type it and look at it, they might even believe their own fantasy!



My dealer documented my mileage on a sheet and want me to keep my fuel recepts. Then they will see if my truck is having anything out of the normal wrong with it. They want at least 4 tanks before they take it in to see why I didnt get any outstanding results. . I will keep all informed.

I am getting 13.5

I just pick up my new truck and It was full of fuel. That night I took my wife out for supper. I drove 30 miles to eat and drove home . Now The overhead fuel monutor says I am getting 13 . 5. Now I only have 65 miles on the new truck. I did not fill up the fuel tank and maybe I would get a better reading? What ddoes flash mean???Mine Is a One ton dually, two wheel drive with a 6 speed. Oo. Don't ride bad anyway.

get used to the 13-15 mpg read out. That is the realistic mileage before some guys start compairing their trucks to each other. I got the same reading on mine when I picked it up about 6 weeks ago. It will improve a bit anter the flash but dont expect to see the inflated 20+ that some are reporting because it just wont happen. At least, not on paper.

Thanks for reporting the truth on your truck. I was beginning to feel that mine was the only one with those stats!

I just did my first fill since i had the flash and my actual mileage has increased from 17. 64 to 18. 96. My overhead appears to be out by . 2mpg over estimation. I got 918. 4 km from 115 liters of fuel.
