I have an AD 150 pump being overnighted. Any tips and/or hints on install? I am pulling the bed off today to come in from the top of the tank as opposed to dropping the tank. According to Pure Flow the installion kit comes with "everything" including 1/2" lines to complete the install. I chose to run the 150 has it will support future upgrades and is the same price as the 100. I have read conflicting reports of running the higher output pumps at lower HP levels. Some say this is not good for the pump others say no problem. Pure Flow says no problem as the pump is always operating at the 150gph and the excess fuel gets returned to the tank.

Good idea on taking the bed off! The only thing I would warn you about is to make sure that you cut the draw straw right. A lot of people have 1/4 tank problem where they cut the straw too short and now because of it have no fuel at 1/4 empty. Run it right to the CP3, some say that the stock filter is better but the Air Dog will filter the fuel continuously over and over again.

What sort of thread sealent did you guys use? My plan is to leave the oe feed line from tank to canister. Then remove the canister to cp3 line and cap the bottom of the canister. Down the road get the GDP canister eliminator plate and cap the oe fuel feed at the tank. Pulled the bed off today and should have the pump tomarrow morning.

According to our smog tech, even the aftermarket fuel pumps are going to have to have a C. A. R. B. # when the emission checks come. FASS supposedly has one. EDGE has submitted their stuff. I would imagine a lot of companies will be scrambling soon for OK's.

Done, up and running. The one mistake was that I left the conection to the cp3 a little too lose when we bled the system fuel went flying everywhere. There is some serious grunt on this pump. Tested it with the bed off and the pump return line just placed in the tank fill. The return line is like a full blast garden hose. The thing is moving some fuel. Mounted on the outside just aft of the forward bed mount. There is something that says CARB legal etc etc with the paper work. I know this is way more pump than I need, at least for now.

The CARB designation will only be necessary with a picky inspector. They can chose to not see things I suppose. Seems like nitpicking to me. It's a closed system.

I dont know if it is me wanting the truck to run better but it does seem to be running smoother. I'm curious if there will be an mpg gain with the air preforator system.

re: the CARB label on the AD, I know the label is available from the makers of the AD - Pure Flow Technologies. I just received my AD and the CARB label was already in place.
