I just got the Skyjacker 2. 5" leaf packs for up front, and the 2" add-a-leaf for the rear. where is the best spot to stick the new leaf? also, how much of a pain is it to take a leaf out the old packs up front and add one to the new packs? (new have 5 leaves, old have 6).

thanks guys

basically you want to place the aal in the stack so it still forms a pyramid ... kinda hard to understand but the leaves need to be stepped down from big to little, and where ever the aal falls is where it falls

ok. thanks guys. one more question

i have the bracketts that wrap the longer leaves together. shoult i remove and disregard it inorder to place the new leaf in?

you talking about the little clips that kinda band around all the other leaves ? if so your aal kit should have come with new ones b/c the old ones usually dont come off to great

yea i know about the c-clamps and center pins. but no the new leaf didnt come with the new band... can i get away with out them at all?

You cant. But when you reinstall it you can put the bolt in backwards and drop the nut in from the top, there should be a small gap on the outside of the frame, hold the nut with an open end and drive the bolt home and you'll never have to move your fuel tank again.

well i finished the rears yesterday. i did the driverside without removing either end of the leaf. i just jacked the frame up higher and removed the block then took apart the pack and added the new leaf it. yall are gonna get a kick out of where i put the leaf. since i didnt want to remove the pack and bust the bands off, i put it beneath them. the front band is over 5 leafs, the rear is over 4, so the the added leaf is the 3rd up from the bottom. i cut off 2 inches from the front cause it was hitting the eye.

fellas... . outraged dosent even BEGIN!! to describe how i am feeling right now. i have just finished installing the rear add-a-leafs and the new front spring packs. rear looks good. alls well. get the front done. after dealing with rusty bolts for 3 days with NO air gun:mad::mad: let the jack down, well well, guess what, the springs keep lowering and lowering. truck gets lower and lower. the new leaf packs are now negative arched just like the stock ones, and i might have gained maybe an inch!!! i ordered my springs from AutoAnything - Truck Accessories, Auto Accessories, Auto Parts, Car Covers, Tonneau Cover and Seat Covers at Discount Prices and got a good deal. free shiping. well after doing some sherlock work, i crossed the part numbers that auto anything had with the part numbers that skyjackers main sight had. guess what!?! ill be dang#@$%! the 2. 5inch lift on the website i used is "D100C" according to skyjackers site that part number is a 1inch lift. the lift on the auto anything site that is listed as a 4inch lift has the part number "D200C"..... yea you guessed it. their part numbers are all behind by one size. convinient mistake eh?? heres what makes it fun. i move to NC for diesel school a week from monday. i have yet to install CD/radio head unit. build front and rear bumpers also. sooo, hahha these next 10 days will be fun :D

oh yea, and i just got my CDL permit today, trying to get the liscense next week. sorry to ramble, just needed to vent. :)
