Going to the dealer in the morning for them to "diagnose" the lift pump. Said they would have to order one after they diagnose it. They are covering it under warranty though!!

I had been having problems with starting the truck after changing the fuel filter. Sunday I noticed a little stumble in the way it was running. Stuck a temp gauge on the test port and there was no pressure. Just got back from the dealer. They are going to replace the pump under warranty, but they have to order the pump. So now i'm waiting on the pump to come in.

Part #?

Mongoose, PLEASE let us know the part # they get for your replacement. It might be the "new" one that Steve StL. was "talking" about on the "performance" thread.

waiting to hear from the dealer that they have gotten the part. will post the part number as soon as i get it installed on the truck. . It was funny though, when i took the truck in for testing, the "knowledgable" mechanic told me the truck would not run if the lift pump was not working. When he brought it back to me and said the lift pump was bad and they had to replace it, i just kinda smiled and asked if i could drive it till it was fixed and he just said "yea" and turned and walked off! gotta love it!
