Add me to the the list of owners with codes .
Before I changed batteries last week, my EB, and Tow/Haul didnt work. I also had a check electronic braking system light come on . Charged the batteries went for a drive , and all was ok. Today with new batteries i made an short trip to town , and the check engine light came on, EB didnt work and the truck was sluggish when I stepped on it. The boast was only at 20 psi, and only 10 lbs of braking on the EB.
Pulled into The Napa in Roan Mountain, and they pulled these codes;
p00AF- turbo boost control module performance
p003a- turbo boast control module position exceeded learning limit
u010c- lost communication with turbo control module

Is the truck trying to re-learn, or is it trying to die?

Cleared codes, and its running normal, plenty of boost
Thanks for any help.

What year is your truck.
Turbo Actuator is a 5 year 100,000 mile warranty except for 2013 thru 2015 ish when it's a 5 year 50,000 mile warranty.
Out of warranty it is a seriously expensive thing to replace at a dealer, like $3,800

It's a 2015. Could be out of manufacturer warranty. It's a month over I think. Have to use the extended non FCA Warranty. Good thing I have that.

They may cut you a break.
I spoke to FCA warranty and my dealer went to bat with the FCA regional guy.
They made an offer to cover a lot of the cost.
I was within the 5 year but 17,000 over mileage.
Good Luck

If I had to pay that out of pocket, I would spend the money on an after market solution so I wouldnt be paying again later.

Things to look out for ,Out of Date software , Dealers do repairs and update the module related to the repair, the others have 2-3 Time trips/triggers to light the CEL ..Than bingo CEL and more $$$. This snap shot show lighting bolts those modules need updating.

Im not sure what you mean by 20 lbs of boost and 10 lbs of braking? The EB measures in retarding power, HP. Ive not really watched it enough to know the correlation between lbs boost and HP on the brake.

I have had all those codes very intermittently dating back a year. Shut truck off, reset codes, start truck and all is good. Sometimes for a month, sometimes 2-3 months. The last go round vI had it diagnosed when I had some recalls done and they told me I needed a new actuator. I refuted their assessment based on the looong intervals between codes, took it home, pulled all connections and cleaned with contact cleaner and coated with dielectric grease. Have not got them back. Yet. Time will tell wether or not its been resolved but this is my longest stretch of being code free.

Thanks for all the suggestions, and help.

10 ft, lbs of braking (retarding) force, when I let up on the pedal. I normally see a lot more than that. I knew that wasn't working correctly. At the same time I only see 20 lbs of boost when I step on it. Normally see upper 20's. After clearing codes, it's Woking fine, which leads me to believe it could be a connector that's loose, or dirty etc. Now today I'll take it out, and see if the codes come back, as well as turbo and EB. I'm sure it will. Either way it's going to the shop.

That is why I purchased a Max Care 8 year 120K Warranty!

I cheaped out and bought the 7 year 70k Max care.

I will likely have 75-80k on the odometer at 7 years. Doubtful i would reach 120k in 8 years.

Currently at 5.6 years of ownership. Less than 1 1/2 years left to being my own warranty station.

Warranty didn't pay for itself because the NOx sensor was covered by fed emissions warranty.

I did use the max care 3 times. But not $1800 worth.

Warranty covered leaky fuel module, electric window module, and leaky third brake light.

HP , NOT LBS. You are correct Sir. Give an old dude a break.

Checked connectors, took a 25 mile test drive . it was going good then I got a MIL, EB quit working but turbo was still pushing 30 psi when I would get on it. MIL went out on its own, and truck ran good all the way home.
