Dave, in this diagram, where would you add a second switch so that you can turn on from the back of the truck or camper shell? Would it also be a 3 way, or just on/off?? TIA

If I am looking at this correctly, simply add your second switch to the rear of your truck or camper and just tie in the same wires. The attached image may help out. Good luck!!

I put on the White Knights. They are very bright and when wired correctly you can flip the switch at the rear of the cover and have light while working at the rear of the truck. Our trucks are poorly lighted when backing up. Moe

I drive truck and I remember a thing I did for my 48' reefer I drove. I mounted Driving lights, 100 watts each on the side of the cab facing backward so I could see straight down the side of the trailer when backing into a dark parking spot. .

Have not thought about it since having my RV toyhauler as we always go to places during the day. . Sometimes, we get home at night and it is dark and I blind-Side back to get the trailer in. .

Since the truck is not as wide as the trailer, I would have to mount the Lights on the side of the trailer near the front so I can see what I am doing...

Like those other Bumper lights the guys cut into the bumper. . pretty clean. . Gotta put another utility light on my Wind deflector frame to shine into the bed to help hooking and unhooking at night too.

I currently have mine on my headache rack. On my older truck I had them under the bumper. The pics of the fog lights in the rear bumper are "tight" Very sweet. From my experience, the ones under my bumper were better for backing up because they lit up everything I needed to see for backing. The ones on my headache rack are great for lighting up an area to see while working, and are "okay" for backing up. My tailgate blocks a lot of light, and I can't see the ground very well. I will soon have lights under the bumper again. I like those Defiant lights and brackets. Nice.

One more thing. I need to re-wire my setup. When the lights are switched on, they are pretty bright. When I switch them to come on with the reverse, either I didn't use the right relay or else I didn't use a heavy enough wire (more likely) and they aren't as bright. I need to go back in and fix it. So make sure you are using a MINIMUM of 14 gage wire, and if you have more than 8-10 feet, better use 10- or 12 gage.

I made a modification to my 2000 2500 with power run from the battery and a relay in the back up lights circulit and it worked well. When I bought mt 2001 2500 I saw Geno's garage white night back up lights and used them instead. More money than before but a lot less work for the same amount of light.
