You know the 4" hose that comes off of the front of the turbo to the stock airbox?

Does anybody have any idea as to where or how I can obtain a 4" Y in which I could install to let me put 2 Cone K&N RE-0880's vs having the one?

Kev

Somebody did read My post on FD. COM! I'd check a heavy-duty truck dealer parts dept. KW's & Pete's have twin air cleaners and under the hood they have "Y"'s They're bigger than 4" but I would expect them to be able to get them. Either that or You can have a welding shop Fab. something up for you. :)

DENNY... ... ... ... ... ...

4" Y PVC

Wonder if a 4" PVC "Y" from a plumbing shop could be used.

Don't know what the correct name for them but one that goes inside the 4" PVC should fit in the turbo hose. . or not.

great idea Fuzz... I never thought of that..... Guess it's time to take a trip to the hardware store this weekend... .

Thanks

Kev

I've seen one of them!

This is a pic of Stacked'N'Jacked's twin K&N feeding his twin Turbos. I took this at Muncie.

PS. I tryed to post the pic, but haven't loaded my photopoint software onto my new PC and couldn't crop the size.

I actually need 2. One for my truck and once for my wifes truck.

How Come?

BigUgly... thanks for the pic... that's the exact setup that I was thinking about. .

Why do this??

Kev... .

I like the look of this, but do you really think it generates more verifiable horsepower..... that would be the only reason I'd want to do it.

Maybe you wouldn't get more horespower from putting them on, but if the exhaust temps were lower after installation you could add more fuel = more power. My guess is that that's Kev's plan. Great Idea by the way.

Guys... Actually the idea of adding 2 of the K&N's is to controll EGT's vs adding more fuel.

Currently I can peak over 1300 degrees, with 25lbs of boost. The other reason is because if I am running down the highway and have to hammer the throttle to pass somebody, I can actually collapse my k&n RE-0880. So I figured that if I had 2, instead of having all of that pressure on 1 filter... the pressure would be divided between the 2 filters, and there wouldn't be enough pressure at the air fitler to collapse them. Or is my speculation wrong? Does this make sense?

Kev

BigUgly, in the pic. you posted, I did not see a clamp where the connection goes to the filter(s); Is the 880 inside the PVC? If so, what makes it stay there?

Ron

To tell you the truth Ron..... I ain't got no idea! If ya was bent on finding out, track down Stacked-N'-Jacked (it's his truck), he is a member of the www.gltdr.org might find him easier there then here.
