I have the 8N with the back-up cam but I also have a cam on the back of my 5er; I use it to line up with the boat when I tandem tow. Id like to utilize the 5er cam again so I was thinking if I tie into the video feeds on the back of the display, I should be able to use a switch to toggle the feeds right? Has anyone tried this?

This is a neat product but I cant see paying $550 for it...(really, I cant see me convincing the boss to allow me to spend $550 for it) http://www.navtv.com/product/265/uct-13.html?forceShowProduct=1

I know the CHR558 Lockpick is out as well...but its $380 also...$300 too much for me.

I have no problem with the wiring...I was just thinking that maybe a DPDT switch might work. Its much cheaper than any video switch but wasn't sure if it would work or has been done. Id use it to send power to the rv cam when that feed was selected; the OEM cam would still receive power when in reverse and would feed video when selected by the DPDT switch.
