Adding fog lights to 2010 3500

Hello I recently bought a used 4500 ram and it had a stock bumper with fog lights. The light switch did not have the push button for fog lights though. Thought that maybe the switch died and no fog one was available when replaced so got a new switch with fog light feature. No go. Looking under I see that the lights are not hoked up and I could not see a connector near the end of the bumper fog lights that would fit.

A dealer said that the VIN number of my truck shows it did not come with fog lights. So my best guess is that it was replaced at some point with a stocker with fog lights. (it may have been a deal with a slight bit of damage and a cash job as carfax report was clean on the vehicle.) Question is can/do I get a harness that will allow me to use the fog lights?

@Sloan ,You may or may not need software to turn feature on. On AlfaOBD software, I've seen that option to turn on or off along with drop out when high beams are on. If you haven't invested in AlfaOBD, it's a great tool for these trucks! Worth checking into. Enjoy that truck!

I had a 2009 4500 I added fogs to, if you use factory switch, has to be programmed by dealer or Alfa.

Thank for the quick response everyone and @Ipennock for the link. I noticed a typo , I have a 3500 not a 4500 but still a sweet rig with the same issue! Hopefully I can get this set up to work without too much hassle.

My 09 SLT was pre-wired, the plug was located at the left inside front bumper.
