2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Adding heated CIPA Mirrors to a 96

I searched but could not find a direct answer to this.



My 96 does not have the heated mirror option (power but not heated).



I am thinking about setting this up with a lighted switch, fused,on a circuit that is hot only when the truck is running.



Do I need a timer? Where can I get a timer and how much $$. If I leave it on for extended periods will it damage it?



Where did you mount your switch?



I am thinking about ordering a fog light switch and putting it where the overdrive switch goes since mine is manual trans.

It has been done before. You will need to change the connectors for the mirrors.



I haven't done it, though. Try doing a search on the forums.
