My used truck did not come with a remote entry control.

Has anyone bought a Dodge remote and made it work.

The maintenance manual says the unit is installed, just not programed. ??

You need to fill out your truck profile. I can tell you that there are 3 Central Timer Modules. The base model does not support electric locks. This module has only one data buss connector on the back of it. The Highline CTM supports door locks, interval wipers and more higher line functions. The Premium CTM is the same as the highline version except that it adds control of heated seats. The Highline and Premium CTM's both have 2 data connectors on the rear of the CTM.

I have no heated seats, Do have the other things( delay wipers, locks, etc ).
I assume the Highline version installed ,,,

Did read the manuel, Seemed to imply that the Remote could be added.

What I do no understand, if you lost the remote, and purchased a new one,
would the dealer have to program it, or is there some simpler way ?

Like GM, ground an OBD2 pin and press the remote buttons...

**** I'll update my profile... . Plus, smarty just installed, 10 miles on level 1

AND, I LIKE TN, Camp up in mountain city area... Great State...
Where's Sharon???

Sharon is in northwest TN. Just below Martin on US 45E.

From what I know of the door lock remote, you have to see a dealer. The DRBIII is required to activate a remote.

What year is your truck? You can call your dealer with your vin# and they can tell you if it came on in when the truck was first sold!
