There is a "water bag" thingy sold for pickup beds up north that is filled with water in the winter to add weight. I can't remember where I saw it advertised. Maybe do a google search. Sounds reasonable and would be easy to drain and remove.

I work on elevators. They have counterweights with adjustment slabs of steel. 7" wide and about 3 foot long, 1/2 to 3/4" thick, & notched with a dado at each end. 175-250 each, depending on thickness. I seriously was considering a mount under the frame by the spare that would allow one weight on each side, removeable with one bolt each. Very do-able, and there are a few machineshops in every big city that make 'em for us. Would make a clean, secure way to smooth out the ride. I ended up with a shell @ 350 that did the same, and yes, that was all it took for a noticable change. I wouldn't have anything loose in the back. Bad things might happen if you get hit hard or from the side.

Its simple Just let your duals down to 20 our 25psi,,, I run mine that low all the time unless im towing big... . Even with the 4k horse trailer and three horses the tire pressure is fine...

And yes im sure the tire may wear out quicker but I would rather buy some tires more often ,,and injoy the smooth ride.

Remember there are four tires holding the load

I tried 8 50# sandbags 4 on each side by the tailgate. Problem, didn't seem to help much and the damn things kept getting in my way. Now I have 400# of good plaster grade sand for sale. Cheap!

Thank You

I appreciate everyones help... I have decided to go with the concrete idea, seems like it would make a great bedliner :) ...

Seriously I will probably just try the sand bags.

Thanks,
