Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) additional mods for pac brake

i am looking to get a pac brake for my 02 3500 5 speed and my 04. 5 2500 6 speed. i have heard that you need new valve springs for the exhuast brake or you will break the stock ones. is this true? if so what lb springs should i get for the two trucks. i would have thought that wouldnt need heavier valve springs.

No mods needed, both your trucks have the heavy springs from the factory. The 12 valves had the light springs.

I have the Pac brake on my 01. Love it. No mods were needed.
