I was wondering it their was some additives that should be added to the fuel system to help my new hrpump last longer. Or using fuel add is a waste of time and money. ALso does cooling the fuel help make that vp last longer.

Anything that improves lubriticity will help. I don't know where you are so I don't know which type of fuel; #1 or #2 you are burning. If you are forced to use #1 in the winter it is like burning water.

I have always used Lubrication Engineers and don't consider it a waste. I buy it by the case and have used it in 2 different trucks for 6 years now and happy with it's performance. I have never had a fuel problem. Good Luck.

there is a previous thread discussing this subject. there are as many answers as there are members. Its kind of a personal thing based on expienence. I use marvels mystery oil ,and howes in every tank. I now have 394,000kms on original vp-44. hope this helps.
