Adjustable Drag Link?

Anyone know where I can get an adjustable drag link? I priced one from Skyjacker and it was over $200. 00. That seems excessive to me for two tie rods and a collar.

Only other option would be to make one yourself.



Get some threaded inserts and DOM from an offroad supplier, then buy a couple of new TREs, but if you get quality components it is going to get up to at least $100 to make one.

Do the dodge TREs have the same taper as a chevy?

I looked into making one, but found a Skyjacker drag link (adjustable) for $130. 00 so I ordered it. The factory non-adjustable one goes for around $80. 00 but nine out of ten vendors wanted between $225. 00 and $300. 00 for an adjustable. I shopped around (alot) and found the one I need for $130. 00 which I think is reasonable.

I can't believe some of these guys wanted $300. 00 for a drag link! It's two tie rod ends and a collar! It pays to shop around.

ARhine I PM'd you with the info, to anyone else who's interested I got the adjustable drag link from:

Part number is SL4040 (Skyjacker part number is DL10). I mis-quoted the price, it was $139. 95 not $130. 00, that's still at least a hundred bucks cheaper than any other vendor I tried.

Thats a good price, I paid around 165 for the one on my 86, and that was 5 years ago.
