Picked up my 05 this week, and Dodge is not installing the adjustable pedals right now ($120 credit).

Has anyone added them later on? Is it possible to do, or is the bulkhead under the dash different?

I looked under there except for the wiring harness and switch, the "frame" is in place. The harness connector is probably tucked away somewhere.

Unless you are short or wife is short and is going to be driving the truck the adj. pedals are not that big of a deal, the adj. pedals main advantage is they adjust toward you, so that shorter drivers can sit further away from the airbag.

Exactly, I have very short legs for my size. . My 04. 5 had the adjustable pedals and I loved them,, I could sit way back from the steering wheel, yet reach the pedals. .

Tell me something, you guys with adjustable pedals... . when you push the clutch in, do you not feel like you should push it to the floor anyway? Doesn't it feel like you are slipping it and not letting it disengage? I've always been taught to push a clutch all the way to the floor. Do the ones with adjustable pedals have a positive stop to the clutch pedal?

Thanks,

Blake

Sorry to revive this old thread, but I found the truck of my wife's dreams, a 2005 3500 QC DRW 4x4 LB with the BH package. Unfortunately for my 5'1" wife, it has the pedal delete "feature".

Which parts do I need to order to do this "mod"?

What's the estimated cost of parts?

How tough an install is it? (I don't have the 2005 FSM yet :( )

Thanks in advance!

The adjustable pedals were ordered on our 04. 5 from the factory. My wife is short and I of average height. Our truck has the auto. My wife loves this as with our old "93" CTD she had to have the seat too far foreward to reach the pedals. This is strictly a matter of opinion here. I could have gone either way.
