I installed a 2 inch leveler a while back, this threw things a little crooked up front and i'm wondering if my slight pull to the left is also because of this. I remember of an adjustable trac bar I believe is supposed to straighten things back to normal (left front sits further back than right front... . pulls to left). Can anyone confirm this and tell me where one can buy one for a resonable price?

YEP... I was afraid of that! I have been thinking about doing the 2"leveling kit and all I hear from members on this board is how it will be ok and that it will not hurt anything...

But then I hear about death wobble, uneven tire wear, bump steer, shacking, off center steering wheels and all kinds of other things that COULD be associated with the level kit. Can someone with a negative experience post about your problems associated with the level kit?

Makensmoke,

Yes, DT track bar is the answer. Besides a slight pull to the left what other problems are you having related to suspension and steering if any? How are your tires wearing?

Thanks

Phil

Another alternative is to use the track bar from an 03 with the bracket, and the DSS support bracket helps (both made by http://www.solidsteel.biz/ ). Off-center steering wheel is a given, you're separating the frame and the axle and not adjusting the length of the track bar! You can adjust the tie rods to correct that.

My tires have always cupped on the outside of fronts. But with rotating them every 5-7k this can be controlled. The leveler kit didn't change tire wear. After installing the leveler, I immediatly brought it in for an allignment, at that time they centered my wheel and told me that things were a bit cock eyed. Driving it and looking at it you'd never see it or know it. Factory shocks (although they recommended that if I ever have to replace them for other reasons to buy longer ones) factory ride, etc. Handling wasen't at all altered. The only way i'm reminded that my front is cocked it when I crank hard left my 33" tires catch the bottom tip of my factory mopar mud flaps. Absolutly no regrets to installing this, it was pretty cheap, simple to install and it cured that rake that I don't think 4x4 pickups should have (its not a stadium racer). But like I say, my new tires are sitting here waiting to go on, maybe now it the time to make this "right" as long as its going to the tire shop anywho, and i'm sick of the slight pull, besides its putting additional strain on my front end. (always correcting the pull)
