I have a 2" leveling kit, was installed by the previous owner. Well I was thinking about that the other day, and I was curious if the axle was still close to center. Well it's off by 1/2" to the driver's side.

Any aftermarket trackbar that would be short enough for just 2" of lift? I see Skyjacker makes one, for 4-7" of lift though.

I'm thinking maybe just cutting and sleeving the stock one as well. Did that to my rear one on my Jeep for a while as a cheap fix until I 4 linked it.

There are a few, this is what I have Thuren Track Bar

and here is a terrible picture of it

Also there is the DT Profab

And the 3rd Gen Adjustable from one of the makers of the DSS Darrins Bar

I am happy with my Thuren, it is a quality piece and actually probably the least expensive and fully adjustable.

What do you guys think about the steering linkage setup on that DT Profab truck. Looks like a good way to convert to heim ends and still have clearance with stock alloy wheels. (16" x 8")

Do not buy any DT products (DTprofab.com)

Their customer service is terrible and their track bar bracket is very weak and will cause your factory crossmember to crack in the future.

When told about their mess up, they simply blame the customer and do not take action. Terrible company.

Heim joint suspensions are for race cars, not street cars. Don't cross that line.

Go with Moog 98-99 HD steering (y style) with the moog problem solver ball joints and you will be pleased with how stout the joints and links are.

First I heard about that  I beat mine up for 2 years and all has been good!! How many have this happened to??? Have installed a few and have not seen any issues to date so please can you show us how many peoblems there have been.

Check the thread DT track bar may be dangerous... posted 6 months ago or so.

I have personally had problems with their customer service as two others on this board i have personally talked with have had... The workers are nice, the owner is a different story... .

The problem mainly is with the DT track bars that are for lifted trucks. These put more twist on the drop bracket they make and it is underenginered. You need to fab your own side bracket and crossmember otherwise the track bar moves. Also, the new sleeve they give you is too loose. Had to make one on the lathe. Funny, how the owner of DT swears their sleeve is a crushsleeve when it is not. Guess he doesnt know what it means.

Don't get me wrong, their upper and lower links are awsome, but I boycott them based on the terrible attitude of their owner...

I purchased an adjustable track bar from Solid Steel Ind. works great and was easy to center my axle. The bar has rubber bushings on both ends instead of heim joints which wear out over time.
