Anyone here done that (I assume yes) My truck has almost 76,000 miles so I guess I should have it done. Is it worth it to have the dealer do it or should I do it myself?
Hold off... I checked with my local Cummins shop in Columbus, Ohio and their Service Mgr said to wait until about 150K on my '99. Personally, the Dodge dealer would be my LAST choice unless it sells a whole lot of trucks.
Here's a thread on the results of my 100,000 mile valve adjust - https://www.turbodieselregister.com/forums/showthread.php?t=39144 . They were all within spec but some were right on the edge. Personally I'd stick with the 100,000 mile recommendation - it's an easy job.
