Adjusting valves

I have read guys signatures that say properly valved. I have 40k on my 99, is there something that I need to check or adjust in regaurds to the valves. Remember I want HP and torque. Thanks!!!

Not unless you are over 100K. Properly valved is one way to refer to the 12V engines 98 and older. Overvalved is the 24. I'm not sure on the 99 but I believe the valves don't required adjustment until 100 or 150K. Check your owner's manual cause I'm brain dead this morning and can't remember. I will do mine at 100K or sooner if I have the valve cover off and I'm sufficiently bored.
