I have 44,000 miles, MagHytec filled to the upper mark (over OEM)

and it has been that way since 8,000. Today I noticed that the pinon seal is seeping, the is an oil film 1. 5 inches downwind from the seal edge. I am towing to Florida next week, will this grenade or continue to seep slowly? Do I need to get it 911 replaced? Thanks

Mine has been seeping for 70k. Sometimes a drop is hanging after a hot run. But never shows on the dipstick. Started when I put synthetic in. Won't tell you what brand; however slowed down when I changed to Redline.

IMHO - It won't go fast.

nnooooo biggie

run er and watch er, I would pick up a new seal and when you change your fluid next time do the seal too... ... ... ... Kevin:)

I had a chronic problem with the pinion seals on my truck. DC finally replaced the axle housing under warranty. No problems since. I would take a couple of extra quarts of your favorite lube and keep an eye on it. It shouldn't give you a problem. If you don't mind me asking, where in Florida are you headed to?
