Put me in the camp of moving from a 2500 qc SRW short bed to a new 3500 1 Ton dually. Oh My God What a Difference!!!!!!!!

I will never again own a SRW truck!

Yep, I made the same decision 13 years (and four trucks) ago and never regretted it! :D

I went through this same expensive "learning curve", i. e. standard cab -> quad cab -> quad cab DRW

Both have their uses and best applications. When I'm trying to squeeze up a two track, I'd like to have my SRW back. But loaded with firewood or a heavy camper it is DRW hands down. The camper, the G2 steering, toss in a little crosswind or rutted road was the makings for a white knuckler. Plus, the longer springs on washboard roads, four doors, beefy brakes, and rigid frame make for a nice ride. Add a flatbed and you will have a sweet ride. ;)

Appears MSPEROS has already solved his problem. Since the SRA vs. dually debate comes up on a fairly regular basis, I will just add to the count for anyone lurking that is trying to decide between a SRA and a dually. I went from a 2003 SRA 3500 to a 2005 dually to tow a Kountry Star fifth wheel and I feel more comfortable towing with the dually. This is especially true when towing in the big winds. For the smaller fifth wheels, a SRA would be OK, but for the larger ones, my opinion is that the dually is the way to go. Course you have to put up with the dually when you aren't towing but so be it. Bet D/C has made a lot of money off fellas like me that have traded SRA trucks for duallys. Guess I have 20/20 hindsight.
