I just bought a '98 12 valve, automatic, with 127000 miles on the truck. I have owned an '06 for 2 years, had an '03 before that. I bought this truck to use for plowing snow and pulling trailer loads of lumber. I intend to build up the automatic transmission to hold up to plowing and towing. I would appreciate any recommendations for modifications that will bring this truck up the ladder a bit closer to the power level of my '06. I have straight piped it, remvoed the cat. converter, and it has a K&N filter.

Thanks in advance. Jerry Henry

i put an 11 plate in my truck and i love it. thought about the 10 and a gov spring kit but i bent one of the arms that the springs go over on another truck a couple years back. had a gsk in it for 2 years no problem. almost had to buy another pump but a friend saved my butt! im a little gun shy now.

i would say 11 plate, boost elbow set to about 30lbs, and a BHAF if you want to be conservative. 100 plate, 4k gsk, DDP stage 4's or 370's for injectors, bump timing to 16* for real fun.

dont forget the KDP. pull the timing gear case cover and tab the pin and tighen all the bolts you can get too. valve adjust are recomended every 20k or something near that on the 12v.
