Hi All,

Probably a strange/dumb question, but here I go.

I'm looking for some input on what a fair asking price is for my truck. I'm struggling with what is reality right now.

I'm looking at downsizing, nothing wrong with the vehicle:

-2007 Dodge Ram 2500 SLT Quad Cab 4x4
-78,500 Miles
-I'm the 4th owner
-5.9l with Auto
-Goerend Valve Body, Single Disc Converter, and Deep Trans Pan installed professionally with receipts.
-09 Mopar T-Style Steering Upgrade
-Secondary fuel filter kit from Western Diesel
-Newer tires, brakes
-Cloth interior, no rips or tears
-Do not run a tuner/pressure box. Was bought without one from last owner. Don't know about other owners
-No dash cracks
-All maintenance up to date with records. All service complete per severe schedule.
-B&W Turnover Ball Hitch Installed
-Rhino-lined, Undercover Hard Tonneau or Lucas Truck Cap
-No Rust - Undercoated with Fluid film yearly
-The Bad - Some minor scratches from being a truck, hood wont stay open

Any input is really appreciated. Thanks!

Hood fix seems easy, probably $25 with shipping on the cheap side. Atleast easy as in I'm not doing the work easy.

Big range on pricing $15k - $31k on Carfax that had a good assortment.... can always take a look around on something like that and compare where your truck is at in the line up.

Good luck with your sale.

This is helpful, thank you.

I’m think 26 or 27 may be a good starting point. And I’ll probably fix the hood just so it doesn’t annoy me Haha.

Thanks Again!

Well.. start where you want and if nobody calls, you know you're too high, if you get flooded with calls you are too low. NADA check value and go from there. Add ons and aftermarket don't necessarily bring value, surely not 1:1 on what you spent, but can.. Bottom line its only worth what someone will pay so its pretty easy and up to you how long you want to hold out,.. for me when I sold my 04 at the beginning of this crazy used car market, I got back what I paid for it 10y ago... did I get all my mod money back, heck no, but it was gone the same day I picked up my 20 and no hassles.

If you list that truck for $27K it will sell immediately with that mileage and no rust in the Southwest or West Coast. Prices are insane right now. Not a good time to be a buyer. Great time to be a seller. I believe that the 2007 5.9 is a very sought after truck. There was a low mileage 2007 5.9 Mega cab that was listed on CL for North of $45K and the listing is now gone!

Thanks for the replies everyone. Have A LOT of interest at $27, which is what I listed it for. I think the truck will be gone this week. Appreciate all the input. Am having a hard time letting it go....
