Looking to get a suspension/lift kit. Would like some that has a system installed or a expirenced installer give some advice3 or comments.

Have a 97 4x4 2500 x-cab long bed. Want to run 35" tires and would like a smooth ride. Don't need to baja race. Would like to stay under $1500. 00

Also going to do a 04 model later also, so any advice in that area would be nice. Thinking about a FabTech for that one.

I have had good results this my RCD long arm 6" kit I had a leveling kit prior and was really stiff. the bilstien shocks that I have now are great I can go over a speed bump and not really feel it its good to me. it really is going to depend on you what you use the truck for or are wanting my lift cost me 1300. 00 look at topguncustomz they have some good pictures and choices ride in someones truck if you can. I lost about 1mpg going taller and bigger tires. hope this helps.

Where are you located? Your screen name looks familiar. If your in the Washington/Oregon area you might want to contact Jason Weidhunner at 4 Wheel parts in Oregon. Store Info He is NWBomber member and a friend of mine, Im sure he can find the right option to fit your needs. Even if you dont buy from him Im sure he would still answer all your questions.

How much lift are you looking for? Many of the "baja" suspensions you may be thinking of have a nice ride and you don't have to go full out on shocks if you won't need it. Look at the norms like RCD, Fabtech, but also consider lorenz, carli, or KORE. One of the off road mags did a comparison with the latter 3 and lorenz and carli had the best street ride with a non race shock setup.
