I've been adjusting my AFC and fuel plate to reduce smoke. I added 191 DV's which I know (now) people say they are too big. I've slid my #6 plate back a 1/8" from stock and my star wheel is adjusted to limit smoke around town. My off idle smoke is mild, mid range smoke is there as expected when I get on it. I can fog out the highway when I want. But, its not too bad once the turbo is over 25 psi. My EGT's run 800 to 1000 around town while coming up to speed, crusing around town with light throttle I'm 600 to 800. Getting up to speed on the highway I'll hit 1100 degrees before 70 mph comes with half throttle. I haven't tried full throttle yet due to the lack of open road, I hit 90 mph fast.
Before I tried sliding the plate back more I was hoping for some feedback from those that have been there already. With the 370's and the 191's using a #6 plate should I be hitting 1000 degrees while crusing at 75 mph empty? My 62/14 turbo is running at less than 5 psi on the highway while crusing, my stock turbo would always be over 10 psi? I'm guessing when I hook up to a trailer the big turbo will be under boost and the EGT's will be lower while loaded? At 30 psi the EGT's seem to stabilize around 1100.
