AEM Brute force fitting against hood

OK I ordered my AEM Brute Force Tuesday and received it yesterday. I put it on for lunch and it sits extremely tight on the hood. It keeps my hood raised about 1/8" to 1/4". It is hitting on IAT sensor

and the front most corner of the heatshield.



Have any of you had these problems and what have you done to remedy it?





On a side note My truck now whistles dixie!!!!!

Mine does not hit the IAT sensor, but used to hit the hood. I took my tin snips, and cut 1/4" off the top edge of the heat shield. Put the rubber strip back on, and TADA!
Seats perfectly as the hood latches.
